IAN ARMSTRONG

Highly experienced in the Atlantic salmon industry following his graduation from the University of Edinburgh, Ian worked 12 years as a salmon farmer with Marine Harvest in Scotland and Chile. A Nuffield Scholarship tour to Japan then convinced him to broaden his management experience within the industry.

Following 8 years experience working as Processing Manager on the Scottish west coast for Marine Harvest and Scottish Sea Farms (formerly Hydro Seafood GSP) his independent consultancy Nevis Marine Ltd was formed in August 2002.

Amongst the early successes were the selection and establishment of Closed Valve harvest stations for Marine Harvest Scotland and for Panfish Scotland (now Scottish Salmon Company).

Significant recent projects have included the provision of Management Services for the international Aqua Pharma group of companies together with assisting Hygiene Teknikk with their technical developments.
